As I am a bit late with writing about the release, let me just mention, that the clear purple vinyl sold out in no time. It is uncertain if there will be a repress. Luckily, the ep is also released digitally. Hence you can find it on all relevant digital music platforms.
Van Bonn & Upwellings join forces to showcase journeys of different moods and styles of dub techno on their new ep called Cloudwalker. The opening Cloudwalker Dub is moving in between the triangle of dubby stories told in Bristol, Copenhagen and Vienna. Harmonious, bass heavy and with a special attention to the little something. Bridging is raw and deep. It sucks you in and the harmonies tickle on your skin during a sunrise on a mysty morning. The following Dilated Spaces is reduced to its bare minimum and proofs that when you go deep and minimal, there is always the possibility to go even deeper and reduce the elements even further. Up next is Deepchord co-founder Mike Schommer who directs his remix of Bilateral Kite in moody and texture rich territories conducted by a straight forward kick and dubbed out fx. King Cry Cry is a personal reminiscence to the big soul of the originators of dub.
I want to take the chance to a big ‚thank you‘ to all of you who listened and supported my music throughout this special year.
After a long period of silence, it makes me very happy about all the releases but especially all the positive feedback in forms of purchases, streams, features and feedback – it means a lot to me.
A big ‚thank you’ also goes out to the dear people of Kontakt And ETUI Records who believe in my music and help to realize my vision of it. Last but not least I want to thank all the remixers who reshaped my original tracks. This deserves an extra mention as there have been so many this year, especially around my remix initiative for the charity remix album of my debut album ‚Control‘ (more on that later). Worth mentioning is also that sounds from the remix pack found their way into some releases by other artists and unofficial remixes of the original tunes. That was not the original idea but I guess it speaks for my sounds. As there are especially three people who are very important to Van Bonn, their great efforts and contribution shall not be unmentioned: Salz mastering, timconduit for designs and Jan Kalitowitsch for his amazing videos.
Finally, it was the most busy release year under my moniker Van Bonn and I can tell you that the first releases and ideas for 2021 are already in the planing – stay tuned.

I am more than happy about the release! Three tracks that show different sides of my sound palette. The opener ‚Dopamine Clouds‘ is a dub techno monolith and personally one of my favorite tracks I produced so far. Also the other two tunes show bass-heavy beats, swirling echoes and saturated chords; at the more functional and more trippy side of things.

I am happy to announce my upcoming ep ‚Dopamine Clouds‘ on ETUI Records! Three dub heavy tracks: a melancholic dub monolith, one functional groover and a spaced out dubby affair. ‚Dopamine Clouds‘ will be released in July on purple vinyl and digital formats.
Today the digital version of my Conchord is released. It features an original mix of the titel track besides remixes by Vril and Freund der Familie and an Alternate Dubplay. The first press of the vinyl sold out within two weeks, right now the repress is on the way. Also the ep already got support from Ben Klock, Nina Kraviz, Cari Lekebusch, Brendon Moeller, Francois X, Peter van Hoesen, Markus Suckut and many more…

My Echo Dub version of Star_Dub’s tune Madame Oishii is out now. It is released by Tiefenrausch and available on 180gr black vinyl.

Kontakt Records released this ep that contains two slamming chord driven tunes and a bass heavy urban cut by me. I produced these tracks while living in Copenhagen. Techno hero CTRLS Remix answers the question how a trippy and dubbed out version sounds like.
